Nothing annoys me quite as much as struggling to the supermarket counter with hands full of lentils a block of butter and a pint of milk, only to be told the supermarket is all out of bags. Someone forgot to re-order bags?
How the hell am I supposed to get the lentils and butter home without mixing it all up into a curry warmed by the body heat of my ample bosom?
It’s bad enough that a)supermarkets very rarely supply bags for free, b)they certainly don’t pack ‘em anymore and c)the bags they do supply are made out of clingfilm and tear if you dare to look at them in a certain way….but to run out completely? Inconceivable!
Not to worry though, this fair damsel in distress was saved by the cute calico bags sent to her by the Promotional Shop in NZ. Like a good knight in shining armour they’re strong, dependable but lighter than canvas bags (and less prickly). And, calico bags can be decorated with your logo, or a sage comment, or even with the logo of your fave blog! (C’est moi?)
