Windows

by Vicki Jeffels on September 15, 2012

This Friday I’m joining in with G Adventures (a very cool travel company I met at TBU Porto) and their Friday Photos themed gallery. It’s hashtagged #FriFotos on Twitter if you want to play along. Or catch the fantastic photos from all around the world on Pinterest or on their blog at The Looptail or on Facebook.

But first some windows….

Beautiful array of such contrasting scenes. Love them all in their unique way.

The problem was choosing only a couple Sarah! I had so many to choose from.

an array of beautiful views through a window :)

Amazing isn’t when we see a scene framed by a window. All the stuff we can see that we might never have noticed before.

Love these. Windows have a sort of magic about them don’t they?

    • vegemitevix

Windows are magical, simply by placing the constraint of a frame around a view we can group items together in a way that makes visual sense. I guess there’s a figurative lesson in there too..

Windows onto a much bigger world… lovely.

Thanks Steve. The important bit is where the person is standing behind the camera, it’s that background that gives perspective. For example – would I have been so wowed by the icicles on the window ledge if I wasn’t from a hot country and hadn’t seen it before?
