So many ideas about Big, today.
Big mess in the kitchen after the big kids (my long time nickname for the teenagers) have grazed during their holiday days.
My big mood, when I discover that big mess!
Big chaos as I try to organise holidays and work and family visits against a background of big money stress and big summer weather fail. At least we aren’t suffering from floods here, though the garden now resembles a mud pit and the cream carpet is paw-painted with mud and wet grass.
This afternoon I felt overwhelmed by it all and started to feel as if it was all wrong.
Big mess, big, big stress.
I did what I often do when I feel overwhelmed. I slump into the couch to clear my head, and as I sat there feeling tearful and sorry for myself, one of my mood cheer leaders came and said ‘hello’. I find all three pets have an uncanny empathy. Bailey has been known to climb onto my bed, put her paws on my shoulders and lick my tears off my cheeks. Stella the blue Tonkinese often climbs onto my lap when I’m feeling blue. Today it was the youngest pet’s turn, as Monty the Ocicat came in to cheer me up.
Isn’t he beautiful with those big green eyes!
