Help please!

This is Susie from New Day New Lesson. I owe Vicki my sanity so here I am writing instead of her today because she so graciously gave me loads of her time last night.

Help Please

That was my plea to Vicki last night. I was on the verge of having a meltdown.

I know. It was stupid to take the plunge and move to a self-hosted blog when you have absolutely no knowledge of building websites and have no idea what HTML, SQL or codex is. Even worse, it is really stoooopid to even think about it when you have a major lack of time on your hands.

Passover is less than a week away and in the midst of all the cleaning and preparations, I suddenly decide that I can’t wait any longer and I need to buy a domain name and move to a self hosted website.

I think that it had to have been the height of cleaning avoidance!

But maybe I should be applauded for not stalling and doing it now. Heck I have only been blogging for about 5 weeks. Better to move all the blog content to a new site now. You know before I go through technorati hell. It is a lot easier to move 40 posts than 400 isn’t it?

Honestly though, what the heck was i thinking? I obviously was not.

Thank goodness, I have been blessed with having made quite a few good friends over the internet. Friends I have never met, but that I have really felt a connection with. Friends who are generous with their time and who are sincere and unique.

Vicki, there are not enough words for your kindness and for how readily you stepped up to help me and prevent me from losing all my marbles. You yourself have been under the weather and stressed time wise, but you still managed to help me out.

So thank you for hearing my pleas for help. Thank you for helping and if I ever get the new site up and running, it will only be because of you.

And maybe one of these days I will even have the pleasure of meeting you and thanking you in person for being such a good hearted person.

I have been thinking the same thing – get it over with before I have too many posts. Is it really that scary? If so maybe I'll stick to what I've got!

It is scary-make sure you have someone who can help you out. I think Vicki should start a side business helping us desperate people out. Or at least hold our hand.

I am paying her in posts-lol! I think if she wasn't helping me or if I did not have someone else to help me, i would have to bite the bullet and hire someone.

If you do it, do it with help unless you understand html or whatever the heck else the program is. The transferring was more or less okay-it was getting all the widgets that is the problem.

Awwww!! This is too sweet. I love the community of bloggers and how connected we all are. Even though some of us are oceans away.
